No. 12 Men’s Ice Hockey Ties No. 9 UNE, 3-3

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott No. 12 nationally ranked men's ice hockey team tied No. 9 University of New England (UNE), 3-3, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday evening at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Much like last night's contest, UNE captured the early 1-0 advantage at the end of the first 20 minutes.

Endicott knotted the game at 1-1 via a power-play tally from Michael Casey (Media, Pa.), who was set up by feeds from Collin Kleiser (Churchville, Pa.) and Kevin Craig (Hyannis, Mass.). UNE later responded with a goal more than halfway through the second period (10:17).

28 seconds later John Goldowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) evened the matchup at 2-2, which how the score would remain heading into the second intermission.

In the closing period, Endicott generated its first lead courtesy of an Andrew Kurapov goal (4:55) assisted by Craig for his second of the night. UNE lit the lamp with a power-play goal (5:34).

Meanwhile, in the final minutes of regulation, Endicott rejected all shot attempts on the power kill to send the game into overtime.

In the extra session, both teams squandered opportunities that led to a shoot-out.

In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) stopped 35 shots in the contest (1-1-1).
