Curry Slips Past Men's Ice Hockey, 2-1 (OT)

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's ice hockey team lost to Curry in overtime, 2-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena. 

Jesse Galassi (Lockport, N.Y.) potted the game-winner at the 2:17 mark of overtime when he blasted home a loose puck from the slot.

Curry got the scoring started in the contest as they scored at the 17:34 mark of the first period and held the 1-0 advantage going to the second period.

Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) tied the game in the second period (16:16 mark) off a shot from the left wing that was set up by Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) and Cam Speck (Burnt Hills, N.Y.)

In goal, Ryan Wilson (Shelton, Conn.) make 26 shots in the loss (5-2-1).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are now 16-7-1 all-time against Curry.
  • First win for Curry at Raymond J. Bourque Arena since 1/18/2019.
  • Michael Casey (Media, Pa.) led the hosts with 10 face-off wins.
  • Sterrett has recorded a point in 11 straight games.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (8-4-4, 5-2-2 CCC) hosts Nichols on Friday, January 19 at 7 PM at Raymond J. Bourque Arena. Curry (10-4-1, 6-3-0 CCC) travels to non-conference opponent Albertus Magnus on Saturday, January 13 at 4:00 PM.
