BEVERLY, Mass. - For their efforts in helping the Gulls to a fifth place finish at the 86th annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship, Nicholas Grimbilas (Strafford, N.H.) and Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) have been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The announcement was made earlier this afternoon by the Conference office.
Competing in the two-day event on The Captains Golf Course, which is a par 72 course that covers 6,675 yards, the Gulls finished fifth out of 16 teams in the field, while Grimbilas and Burke finished tied for 13th and 22nd out of the 80 man tournament.
Grimbilas tied for 13th overall with a two-day score of 156 (77-79), while Burke tied for 22nd overall with a two-day score of 159 (77-82).
WHAT'S NEXT
The Gulls are off for the remainder of the fall as their CCC Championship push will resume in the spring semester.
