Historic Kernwood Country Club Now Home To Endicott Men’s Golf

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's golf team will now practice and compete at the historic Kernwood Country Club, as announced by Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics Dr. Brian A. Wylie.

Established in 1914, Kernwood Country Club is a premier golf and social club enriched with century-old traditions of excellence. Kernwood exists for the enjoyment, entertainment, and pleasure of all members, their families, and guests in a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

"We're delighted to partner with the Kernwood Country Club," said Endicott College President Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D. "Having experienced this superb facility myself, I know that it will provide our student-athletes with a leading experience on the links for years to come."

"For the last ten years, Endicott head coach Tom Smith has done a fantastic job in elevating our golf program at both the regional and national levels," said Dr. Wylie. "Having the very fortunate opportunity for the Endicott golf program to call Kernwood Country Club our home will not only increase our individual and team success, but it will also highlight our student-athlete experience with access to this premier course, its members, and professional staff. We are grateful for this opportunity!"

"We are honored to call Kernwood our home course. Having access to this historic and always pristine facility aligns with our team goals to always strive for continuous improvement in and out of the classroom," said Endicott men's golf head coach Tom Smith. "As a coach and member of the PGA of America, I've always had great admiration for the Kernwood members and professional staff alike. I'm excited to see how internship opportunities blossom for our student-athletes by showcasing our character. We also look forward to honing our skills on the pristine green grass."

Since 2000-01, the Endicott men's golf team has won seven Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) titles, the most in league history. The Gulls will compete for their eighth CCC Championship crown on April 30 and May 1, 2022.
