*Please arrive one hour before audition to register, receive a number, and warm-up.
DAY 1: Saturday, Sept. 20th at 10am
ACROSS THE FLOOR COMBINATION
-combining variations of battements, pirouettes, and jumps to see technique, flexibility and strength
JAZZ COMBINATION
-combination consisting of 6-8 eight counts to see rhythm, adaptation to style, and execution of combination
HIP-HOP COMBINATION
-combination consisting of 6-8 eight counts to see rhythm, adaptation to style, and execution of combination
*There will be a cut at the end of day one
Day 2: Sunday, Sept. 21st at Noon
45 SECOND SOLO
-Each dancer will perform a 45 second solo to a song and style of their choice. Please make sure it is no longer than 45 seconds and music must be appropriate
SHORT INTERVIEW WITH QUESTION AND ANSWER
-Each dancer will be asked a few questions in regards to the dance team. All dancers will be in the same room and different questions will be asked to each dancer
ATTIRE/APPEARANCE
Please wear appropriate dance attire-no jeans, loose fitting bottoms or top
Preferably jazz pants/shorts with a tank/leotard
Hair must be back securely and out of face
Please wear shoes according to style:
Jazz- jazz shoes, paws, or bare feet
Hip-Hop - jazz sneakers or sneakers with a smooth bottom
*If you are wearing regular sneakers for hip-hop, please bring them in hand. We do not want what is outside, inside on the dance floor.
