Michael DeDonato Named CCC Player Of The Week

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott sophomore infielder/outfielder Michael DeDonato (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

In a 2-1 week for the Gulls, which featured a 4-3 walk-off win over No. 14/15 nationally ranked Southern Maine, DeDonato posted a .667/.667/.867 slash line to go along with 10 hits, four runs, three doubles, and five RBIs.

DeDonato also had at least three hits in every game he played in on the week, in addition to a .714 (5-for-7) batting average with runners in scoring position, and .625 (5-for-8) average with two outs in an inning.

The Gulls defeated Southern Maine with a walk-off single from Matthew Paola (Middlebury, Conn.) at home last Wednesday, and also defeated MIT with a game-winning sacrifice fly via Anthony Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.) in the top of the ninth against the Engineers last Thursday.

Endicott (9-5) hosts Suffolk University tomorrow in non-conference action at 3:30 p.m.
