BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior right-handed pitcher Davarn Nova (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week (3/15) against the reigning NCAA Division champion and No. 1 nationally ranked Cortland State Red Dragons, Nova completed a four-inning save, which included just one walk, two hits, and four strikeouts, to aid the Gulls to their first win over a No. 1 nationally ranked team in program history.
Nova currently sports a 7.11 strikeouts per game ratio in three appearances (6.1 innings pitched) for Endicott this season.
Endicott (4-3), who is ranked No. 8 in the most recent New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) poll, is scheduled to play Worcester State University tomorrow, at home, at 3:30 p.m.
