Women's Soccer Falls To Hartford On Senior Day

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team fell to Hartford 3-0 on senior day Saturday evening.

Prior to the match, seniors Alexandria Dostie (Essex Junction, Vt.)Cassie Jones (Beverly, Mass.), Gillian Magnier (Shelburne, Vt.), Linda St. Laurent (Niantic, Conn.), Kelly Talerico (Portland, Conn.), Angelina Venditti (East Lyme, Conn.)Erin Wood (Hanson, Mass.), and Isabella Young (Topsfield, Mass.) were all honored for their contributions to the women's soccer program and the Endicott community.

After an early Hawks goal, the Gulls had a few chances on net sparked by some nice midfield play from Wood. She led the Blue and Green with two shots on goal and also set up teammates Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.) and Dostie with a few clean looks off of her facilitating.

The Hawks pulled away in the second half despite a competitive comeback effort from the Blue and Green.

Gulls' goalkeeper Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) compiled seven saves in the match (9-4-2).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • This was the first ever meeting between the two programs.
  • All eight seniors started for the Gulls.
  • Endicott held Hartford to its lowest scoring total against a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (9-4-2) welcomes Curry to campus on Wednesday, October 18 at 4 PM. Hartford (10-2-0) travels to Wentworth next Wednesday at 7 PM.
