Babson Tops Women's Soccer, 1-0

BABSON PARK, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team lost to Babson, 1-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening at Hartwell-Rogers Field.

Reigning CCC Defensive Player of the Week Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) turned away four Babson shots on the day, but the Beavers were able to sneak one past her in the 19th minute that proved to be the game-winner in the tightly-contested matchup.

Alyssa McColl (Stoughton, Mass.) nearly found the equalizer in the 52nd minute, but a diving save by Babson goalkeeper Callahan Cottone (Medway, Mass.) kept the hosts in front on the scoreboard.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • After today's match, the all-time series between the Beavers and Gulls sits deadlocked at 6-6-2.
  • Caliri boasts a season save percentage of .857 after today's four-save match.
  • Captain defenders Angelina Venditti (East Lyme, Conn.) and Carly Matthews (Suffield, Conn.) played the full 90 minutes for the third and fourth times this season, respectively.
