Pepin Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior forward Colleen Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.) has been named as a member of the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District First Team. Pepin is the first Endicott women’s soccer player to receive this honor, and will now be eligible in voting for the Academic All-America team which will be announced on Tuesday, November 29th.

CoSIDA, which began its recognition of NCAA scholar-athletes in the 1950's, has honored more than 15,000 deserving athletes across all divisions in 12 sports.  To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a starter or a key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. 

Pepin is a four year member of an Endicott women’s soccer team that has been to the finals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament in each of her four seasons. This year she serves as one of the team captains. She was recently named the CCC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year as well as earning a spot on the CCC First Team.
 
In her final season, the forward has led the team in goals (16) and points (36), while also contributing four assists. She has started all 19 games for the Gulls and leads the conference in shots, with 102. She is second in the CCC in goals and game-winners (5) and third in points.
 
Pepin earned her third consecutive appearance on the CCC All-Conference team this year and will also be named to the Academic All-Conference team for the third time in the spring. Pepin was named a New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) First Team All Star and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New England Selection last season.
 
The senior accounting major has a 3.94 GPA and has done extensive work both in and out of the classroom. She is a three-year Dean’s list student and a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. Pepin has already held a forensic accounting internship at Carey & Company, P.C. and was a human resources intern at Acushnet Company.
 
In addition to her studies, Pepin has served as a volunteer at the Pan-Mass Challenge bike ride, the United Way Campaign, and the Relay for Life.
 
Pepin and the Gulls will try to win their first CCC title since 2009 on Saturday when they take the field in the championship match against Roger Williams. The \#4 Gulls and the \#1 2 Hawks will kick-off at 1:00 pm in Bristol, R.I.
