BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball program had the highest kills per set average in all of Division III, according to the final NCAA National Rankings.
The Gulls averaged 13.51 kills per set in 2018 to rank ahead of No. 7 nationally ranked Marymount (13.24), No. 2 Stevens (12.85), No. 8 New Paltz (12.72), and No. 1 Springfield (12.60), the two-time defending NCAA Champion.
Endicott's 13.51 kills per set average also ranked second overall among all NCAA Divisions this season, just behind NCAA Division I Hawaii who notched a 13.62 kills per mark in 2018.
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott posted a 23-4 record (12-0 NECC), which marks the eighth 20-win season in program history, and were ranked as high as No. 14 nationally on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Top-15 Poll (first appearance since 2011). The Gulls also won the 2018 NECC regular season title, and advanced to the league championship match for the seventh straight season. Prior to this year, the Gulls rattled off five straight NECC title wins from 2013-2017.
