Field Hockey’s Sophia Cogliano Takes Home CCC Rookie of the Week Honors

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman forward Sophia Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week honors for her play in the Gulls' two games this past week against Colby-Sawyer and Babson College.

Cogliano netted her first two goals, including a game-winner, in her first collegiate game in a 4-2 victory over Colby-Sawyer in the Gulls' home open on September 2. Cogliano has two goals on seven shot attempts so far this season.

Freshman forward Lana Felice (WNE) and freshman goalkeeper Mya Lunn (RWU) were the other nominees up for this award.

Endicott (1-1) travels to Salem St. today for a non-conference matchup at 6:00 p.m.
