BEVERLY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) proudly announces that Endicott College has secured both the Men's and Women's All-Sports Trophies for the 2024–25 academic year.
Since its inception in 2013–14, the All-Sports Trophy has recognized institutions demonstrating the highest level of competitive success across CNE-sponsored sports. Points are awarded based on each team's placement in conference tournaments and championships, with additional points distributed by regular-season finish among the remaining teams. The total points are then averaged across the number of sports each institution sponsors that qualify for the award.
Endicott's Championship Highlights
Endicott's women's teams accumulated a total of 84 points across 10 sports, finishing with an average of 8.40 points, which led the standings. The Gulls captured top marks in volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, and lacrosse.
As a standout note, the Gulls' women's basketball team had a standout season, culminating in a 64–58 victory over No. 23 Western New England in the CNE Championship Game. Senior forward Sarah Dempsey led the charge with 16 points and 14 rebounds, marking her eighth double-double of the season in the CNE Championship. The Gulls earned the league's auto bid, giving the CNE two teams in the Women's Hoops NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2020.
On the men's side, Endicott topped the leaderboard with 79 total points over nine sports, earning an average of 8.78 points. The Gulls finished in the top spot in football, lacrosse, and baseball. In the men's sports, Endicott finished no lower than fourth in the CNE standings across the board.
The baseball team's success continues as they advanced to the NCAA Division III College World Series for the third consecutive year. Key contributions came from 2025 CNE Pitcher of the Year Charlie Hale in the Super Regional, while a pivotal grand slam from sophomore Cade Bernardo helped to secure the Gulls' spot in the World Series this week. In addition, the Gulls also saw their first-ever NCAA Tournament win in football in the fall.
Coming up just short on each side were Roger Williams, as the Hawks averaged within a point of the Gulls throughout, finishing second. They took the championship in field hockey, while on the men's side, they excelled in cross country and men's golf, taking the team championships in both sports. Hartford and Western New England each finished in the top five on both sides as well.

Award Criteria
The All-Sports Trophy is awarded annually to the institution with the best overall performance in CNE competition for both men's and women's athletics. Schools earn points based on their performance in conference championships and tournament placements, with additional consideration given to regular-season finishes. To ensure equity, only sports with at least five core conference members are eligible, and the final score is calculated by averaging the total points by the number of sports the institution sponsors.
