SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Of the 317 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athletes from 10 institutions recognized on the Fall CCC Academic All-Conference list, 43 of those came from Endicott including 10 who also earned All-CCC honors for their athletic achievements this past semester.
BEVERLY, Mass.- Following her stellar freshman campaign, Endicott freshman Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) was named to the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) All-Rookie Team. Guerre was one of seven freshman named to the regional squad as voted on by the coaches.
BEVERLY, Mass. - The New England Women’s Volleyball Association announced today New England’s top 35 Division III senior volleyball players invited to compete in the 2012 NEWVA Senior Classic, Sunday, Dec. 2, at Babson College, and Endicott's Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) was honored to be chosen. The annual event features the area’s top seniors competing in various skills competitions leading up to the afternoon’s all-star match.
BEVERLY, Mass.- At first look, the women volleyball’s record of 12-20 may lead some to think that the team struggled in the 2012 season. When one takes a deeper look into the schedule however, it becomes evident that this team not only faced, but also played with some of the best teams in the country. Half of the teams that Endicott played were ranked within their respective regions while a quarter of their schedule was ranked in the national top 25 at one point during the season. With a roster that had four freshmen starting by the end of the season, the women’s volleyball team is extremely optimistic about where this team is heading.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced their All-Region honorees for the 2012 season and Endicott's Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) has been named as an AVCA DIII All-New England Honorable Mention Libero.
BEVERLY, Mass.- Despite 16 kills from both Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) and Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) the Endicott women's volleyball fell the the #3 seed Salve Regina University in four sets. Salve was led by CCC All-Second team honorees Jennifer Duggan (Merrimack, N.H.) and Megan Clancy (Chelmsford, Mass.).
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Four members of the Endicott women's volleyball team were recipients of All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) awards as announced by the office of Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The awards included an honorable mention, a second team and two first team honors that were highlighted by two major individual awards. Senior libero Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) was named as the CCC Libero of the Year and freshman standout Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) was named as the CCC Rookie of the Year.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) has been named as Co-Rookie of the Week for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). This marks the third time this season that Guerre has been named as the Rookie of the Week on the season. The freshman has also been named Player of the Week once this season.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – A challenging regular season ended on Saturday with the Endicott women’s volleyball team scoring an upset win over Western New England, who previous sat atop the CCC standings, to shake up the conference standings heading into the playoffs. The Gulls grinded out a 15-13 fifth set win to take the match 3-2 (25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13) over the Golden Bears and go into CCC Tournament action 12-19 (6-2 CCC).
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After winning their final six conference matches of the season, including an upset of Western New England on the final day of the regular season, the Endicott women’s volleyball was awarded the #2 seed and a bye through to the semifinal round of the upcoming CCC Tournament.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott College women’s volleyball team was able to defeat Curry three sets to none behind an outstanding team effort on the offensive end. As a team, Endicott outhit Curry .413 to .050 while also picking an amazing 21 aces. Curry now falls to 7-17 overall on the season and 0-8 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). Endicott sees their record improve to 11-19 and 5-2 in CCC play.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week after averaging 7.43 assists per set as the Gulls went 1-3 on the week. The freshman setter also picked up 22 digs and assisted on four blocks.
BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott’s women’s volleyball team struggled offensively against Connecticut College as the Camels upended the Gulls 3-0 in the final match of the tri-match. Endicott could only muster a .026 hitting percentage as a team while Conn. was able to hit at a .267 clip. The loss drops Endicott to 10-19 overall while Conn. College, the #2 ranked team in New England, improves to 18-2 on the season.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott College women’s volleyball team fell to Coast Guard 1-3 in a tough non-conference matchup. With the loss, Endicott drops to 10-18 on the season while Coast Guard improves to 16-11. Set scores for the match were 25-13, 19-25, 14-25 and 25-27.
NEW LONDON, N.H.- The Endicott women's volleyball team struggled offensively in a four set loss to the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer as the Gulls hit just .028 to CSC's .156. The match was the first time that Colby-Sawyer has defeated Endicott since 2005. Endicott had won previous four meetings between the two squads in straight sets. The two programs have a storied rivalry as the Chargers were in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) prior to the 2011 season. The rivalry was highlighted by the 2007 & 2008 CCC finals that saw the Gulls defeat the Chargers to advance to the NCAA tournament.
BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) had eight kills and two blocks and sophomore Hannah Dahlgren (Queensbury, N.Y.) recorded eight kills and four blocks to help the Endicott women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Wentworth in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action played at Tansey Gymnasium.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Senior libero Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) and freshman middle Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) were named Libero of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the Commonwealth Coast Conference. This marks the second time that the duo has won these awards together while Guerre has also been named Player of the Week this season. The two players have continued their stellar play and helped Endicott to a 3-3 record over the past week. That 3-3 record included losses to two nationally ranked teams in #23 Southwestern U. and #4 Christopher Newport as well as a five set loss and a four set win against two regionally ranked opponents in UMass Boston and Tufts.
MEDFORD, Mass.- The Endicott women's volleyball team fell to the #23 team in the country, Southwestern, 3-0 in their first match of the day on Sunday. The Gulls were led by the freshman duo of Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Lexi Watts (San Diego, Calif.) as they combined to record 14 kills in the match. Endicott now takes on the 2011 National runner up #4 Christopher Newport at 2 p.m.
MEDFORD, Mass.- On day two of the Beacon Invitational, Endicott dropped its final match of the day as they fell to #4 Christopher Newport, 3-0. Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) was stellar once again as the freshman middle tallied 10 kills with only one error on 20 attempts for an outstanding .450 hitting percentage.
MEDFORD, Mass. – On day one of the Beacons Invitational, hosted by UMass Boston and held at Tufts, the Endicott women’s volleyball face off against the #2 and #4 ranked teams in New England looking to gain momentum heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.
BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott squared off with CCC rival Gordon and was able to gotout with a clean 3-0 sweep. Endicott was led by a pair of freshmen in Jackie Cone (Salem, N.H.) and Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) as the duo combined for 21 kills on the evening.
BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott was able to make it a clean sweep of the North Shore as the Gulls took down the Vikings of Salem State 3-0. Endicott was able to use a balanced attack to defeat Salem as the team never trailed once reaching double digits. Set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-6.
BOSTON, Mass.- Due to circumstances beyond their control, UMass Boston has been forced to have their 2012 Beacons Invitational change venues and will now be held at Tufts University.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Freshman Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. This marks the third consecutive week that an Endicott player has taken home the award.
CHICAGO, Ill.- Women's volleyball faced off against the #13 team in the country and fell in four sets. The four set loss marks the highest nationally ranked team that Endicott has ever taken a set from. The set scores were 22-25, 9-25, 25-22, 10-25. Endicott now squares off against #9 Elmhurst at 12 p.m. CST
CHICAGO, Ill.- The women's volleyball team new they were in for a tough fight against Elmhurst and the #9 team in the country proved to be too much for the Gulls to handle. Elmhurst defeated the Gulls 3-0 with sets of 15-25, 16-25, 13-25.
WHEATON, Ill.- After arriving in Illinois earlier in the day, the Endicott women's volleyball team travelled to Wheaton College to take on the Thunder. The Gulls were unable to overcome a slow start in the three set loss. Set scores were 25-10, 25-22, 25-21.
HARTFORD, Conn.- Endicott traveled south last night to take on the #11 team in New England, Trinity College (Conn.) and wound up coming out with a hard fought 3-0 loss. Trinity's potent offense was on point as the team posted a .380 attack percentage to Endicott's .011.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS.- Freshman middle Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) and freshman setter Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) were named Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Guerre records Endicott's first Player of the Week award of the season while VandeMerkt takes home the program's second straight rookie of the week.
