  • Four Gulls Earn 2017 NEWISA Division III All-New England Honors

    BEVERLY, Mass. - The New England Women's Soccer Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) announced the 2017 Division III All-New England teams on Thursday and Endicott saw four women earn recognition. Rachel Hanna (Chemlsford, Mass.) and Mary Verneris (Hamden, Conn.) led the way with First Team honors while Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) and Paige Pratt (Topsfield, Mass.) garnered Second Team nods. The four honors represent the highest single-season total for Endicott since 2011, a year in which the Gulls also saw four student-athletes receive honors.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Following a season in which she led the Endicott women's soccer program in all offensive statistical categories, senior Rachel Hanna (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-New England Third Team. The distinction follows her first CCC Player of the Year and All-CCC First Team nods as she was one of just two Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athletes to earn All-New England honors.

Endicott, the #1 seed in the CCC tournament, finishes the campaign with a 13-5-1 record overall, while #4 Gordon improves to 11-4-2 and will take on #2 Roger Williams on Saturday in the championship match.

Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) scored her fifth of the season to lift Endicott to 11-4-1 on the season while ECSU fell to 7-7-3.

With the win, Endicott remains undefeated in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, improving to 7-0-1, and 10-4-1 overall, while UNE falls to 2-5-1 in CCC play and 7-8-2 overall.
