2024 Softball Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott softball team begins its 2024 campaign on Sunday, March 17 against St. Lawrence (1:30 PM) and Amherst (4 PM) in Clermont, Florida. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The four-time defending champion Gulls were picked first in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason poll.
  • CCC Pitcher of the Year/All-CCC First Team selection Jaylin Couto (Taunton, Mass.) returns to the fold this season along with All-CCC Second Team honorees Christina Nowicki (Chelsea, Mass.) and Chloe Shapleigh (Lynnfield, Mass.).  
  • This year's spring break trip features five out-of-region teams including St. Lawrence, Clarkson, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Old Westbury, and Westminster (Mo.).
  • Endicott's roster consists of nine freshmen, six sophomores, seven juniors, four seniors, and one graduate student. The upperclassmen include seniors Abigail Gilbert (Millbury, Mass.), Lindsay Joubert (Haverhill, Mass.), Couto, and Nowicki, along with graduate student Katie Watts (Swampscott, Mass.)
  • The softball program enters this season 780-323-12 overall (.705) and 441-72-2 in conference play (.858).
