Game One: Endicott 4, Curry 3

In game one, senior Nell O'Connor (Harwich, Mass.) was strong in the circle pitching all seven innings in the 4-3 victory while improving to 11-2 overall. The senior threw five strikeouts while only allowing six hits on her 28 batters faced. Sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) and freshman Chrissy Gikas (Danvers, Mass.) each posted an RBI in the victory.

Curry got on the board first as freshman Marissa Bruno (Milford, Conn.) singled with runners in scoring position to send home the first run of the game. The Blue and Green fired back in the top of the second as Gikas singled to right field with Couto on third to bring her home to make it a tie game.

The Colonels fired back in the bottom of the third as senior Paige Smigiel (Lisbon, Conn.) reached home plate for an unearned run.  Endicott took the lead in the top of the third as they posted three runs. The first came from junior Jess Linden (Stratford, Conn.) as she crossed home plate after DiBella singled to second base. DiBella then took home off a fielder's choice from sophomore Emily Hoffman (Malden, Mass.) to beat the throw. Hoffman than reached home after an overthrown ball by the Colonels catcher in attempt to take her out at second.

Curry worked to fight back but O'Connor sealed the 4-3 victory to clinch the #1 slot in the upcoming CCC tournament.

Game Two: Endicott 2, Curry 3

In game two sophomore Courtney Blake (East Islip, N.Y.) hurled five innings while sophomore Katherine Clark (Taunton, Mass.) came in on the relief and pitched just over one inning in the tough 3-2 loss. The two combined for six strikeouts while allowing 10 hits on 32 batters faced.

Sophomore Jaime Corda (Higganum, Conn.) tallied the lone RBI in the loss in the top of the third after she cranked a double to left field to bring freshman Ilyza Holman (Ashland, Mass.)  home. Curry fought back scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth as they took a 2-1 lead.

Holman tied up the game in the top of the seventh to give the Gulls a chance at the comeback victory but the Colonels ripped a walk-off win as junior Ariel LaRosa (Saugus, Mass.) singled to center field to bring in the game winning run for the 4-3 victory.
