  • Gikas and Couto Represent Endicott on ECAC New England Softball All-Star Team

    CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Freshmen Chrissy Gikas (Danvers, Mass.) and Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) were both named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Softball All-Star Second Team after their contributions in securing Endicott’s 14th conference title and 10th Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship since the program’s first season in 1994.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released their annual All-Region Teams and Endicott senior Nell O’Connor (Harwich, Mass.) along with freshmen’s Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Chrissy Gikas (Danvers, Mass.) were named All-New England for their performance on the field this past spring. All three players have been recognized for the first time in their careers.

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Endicott softball season came to an end on Sunday afternoon after they dropped an 11-0 decision to reigning National Champions, #1 Tufts in one of two, New England Regional finals at Williams. Endicott defeated Williams and Lesley yesterday to eliminate the two from the double elimination round of the regional tournament before being ousted by the Jumbos today.

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Endicott softball team has earned the right to play Tufts for a NCAA Division III Regional title and a spot among the final eight teams still alive in the national tournament after going 2-0 on Saturday, eliminating both Lesley and Williams from contention. Endicott eliminated Lesley from a NCAA Regional Tournament for the second time in four years while earning the program’s first victory over NESCAC opponent Williams in program history.
  • Gulls Drop First Game of NCAA Regionals at Williams

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Endicott softball team traveled to Williams for the New England Regional Round of the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. The Ephs defeated the Gulls 6-0 to advance into the 11:00 AM contest against the reigning national champions #1 Tufts. With the loss in the double elimination tournament Endicott will face Lesley, tomorrow at 1:30 PM. Endicott falls to 25-12-1 while the Ephs improve to 25-11.
  • Softball Sweeps Weekly Awards After Claiming Title

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released the final week of the spring Athletes of the Week awards. With the title in hand the Endicott softball team swept this week’s awards as seniors Nell O’Connor (Harwich, Mass.) and Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) along with freshman Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) were all recognized for their efforts last week helping lead the Gulls to a CCC Championship victory.
  • Softball Headed to Williams for NCAA DIII Softball Regionals on May 9th

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The NCAA has released the 2014 NCAA Division III Softball Tournament field and Endicott will be traveling to Williams on Friday, May 9th as they look to continue their post season run in the Regional Round of 62. The Gulls, who received an automatic bid with their CCC Championship win, will be at NESCAC runner-up Williams (24-11) from May 9th through May 11th along with the Lynx of Lesley University (21-13) and the defending national champion Jumbos of Tufts (37-3).
  • Endicott Softball Captures 10th Conference Title with 12th-Inning Walk-Off

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team claimed their 10th Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship this afternoon in a nail biting 12 innings where the Gulls came out victorious 7-6. In the bottom of the 12th sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) cranked a double to right center to send freshman Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) home to clinch the triumph. Endicott improves to 25-11-1 while the Golden Bears fall to 23-18.
  • Gulls Head to Program's 14th Title Game

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team defeated Salve Regina in game two of the double elimination round this evening. Freshman Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) ripped a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to lift the Gulls to a 3-1 victory. With the triumph the Blue and Green remain the lone undefeated team left in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Softball Tournament and will play a potential Championship game tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
  • Gulls Start Double Elimination Round on Top

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball hosted a pair of games this evening to start the double elimination round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament. In game one, #5 Western New England defeated #4 University of New England 6-3. Western New England moved onto game two of the evening where they faced #1 Endicott. Three Gulls posted two RBIs each to help lead the squad to a 7-0 victory over the Golden Bears.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has released the 2014 Softball All-Conference Teams. Senior Nell O’Connor (Harwich, Mass.) was named Pitcher of the Year while Coach Veilleux earned Co-Coach of the Year. Eight Gulls also earned All-Conference accolades.
  • Softball Claims Top Seed in CCC Tournament after Victory over Curry

    MILTON, Mass. – The Endicott softball team claimed the top spot in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament after their split today against Curry. The road doubleheader was the regular season finale for the Blue and Green as they finished with a 21-11-1 (14-4 CCC) record.
  • Gulls Blanked by National Powerhouse, #4 Tufts

    MEDFORD, Mass. – The Endicott softball team traveled to NESCAC foe, #4 Tufts on Tuesday afternoon. Tufts entered the game as the #4 team in the nation following a 2013 season that brought them the national title. Despite the efforts by the Gulls pitching staff the Jumbos took game one, 1-0 and game two, 3-0. Endicott falls to 21-10-1 while Tufts improves to an impressive 28-3.
  • Gulls Split with Seahawks in CCC Competition

    NEWPORT, R.I. – The Endicott softball team traveled to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent, Salve Regina for a Patriots Day doubleheader. In game one sophomore Jaime Corda (Higganum, Conn.) cranked her first homerun of the season to lift the Gulls to a 3-1 victory, while the Seahawks took game two in a tight 1-0 victory. Endicott improves to 21-8-1 (13-3 CCC) while Salve Regina moves to 17-15 (14-4).
  • Softball Blanks CCC Rivals Roger Williams on Senior Day

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team hosted Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Roger Williams on Friday night. In game one, the Gulls defeated the Hawks 2-0 with strong efforts from sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) while three ribbies from senior Kelley Michael (Ipswich, Mass.) in game two helped lift the Gulls to a 7-0 victory. With the two-game sweep Endicott improves to 20-7-1 (12-2 CCC) while the Hawks fall to 18-14 (11-7 CCC).
  • Bilafer Receives ECAC Player of the Week Award

    CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Senior Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) of the Endicott softball team has received additional recognition for her performance last week. Bilafer was named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Softball Player of the Week after being awarded her first conference accolade of the season on Monday.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team faced cross-town rivals Gordon on Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader. The Fighting Scots took game one, 2-0 led by junior Kara Pepper (Wyckoff, N.J.) while the Gulls fought back and claimed game two as four different members tallied RBIs in the 4-0 victory. Endicott improves to 18-7-1 (10-2 CCC) while Gordon earned their first victory over Endicott since 2001 improving to 8-18 (5-11 CCC).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released their weekly awards and two members of the Endicott softball team have been recognized for their efforts last week. Senior tri-captain Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) has earned her first Player of the Week nod of the season while freshman Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) makes her debut on the weekly honors with her first career Rookie of the Week honor.

    BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Endicott softball team traveled to the University of New England on Sunday afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. The Gulls defeated the Nor’easters in both games in the doubleheader, completing game one with a 6-2 victory and finishing off game two with a 9-0 final score.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team hosted Eastern Nazarene this afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest. The Gulls swept the Lions in the doubleheader taking game one, 11-0 in five innings and earning an 8-0 decision in game two. Sophomore Emily Hoffman (Malden, Mass.) led the day with five RBIs as she cranked a grand slam in game one.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team hosted non-conference opponent Wellesley on Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader. The Gulls fell in game one 11-2 and in game two 8-5, despite last inning efforts. With the losses the Blue and Green move to 13-6 (6-1 CCC) while the Blue improve to 15-7 (9-1 NEWMAC).
  • Two Gulls Crank Grand Slams in a Doubleheader with Salem State

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team hosted neighborhood foe, Salem State on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference, North Shore Cup matchup. In game one the Gulls soared to a 10-2 victory, led by sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) who earned a grand slam. In a tighter game two which ended in a 6-6 tie, senior Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) ripped her first homerun on the season with a grand slam that led the Gulls to a six run deficit comeback.
  • O’Connor Earns Second CCC Pitcher of the Week Nod

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their weekly awards and senior tri-captain, Nell O’Connor (Harwich, Mass.) was awarded her second Pitcher of the Week honor this season for her 3-0 week in the circle. The Blue and Green went an impressive 6-2 record on the week to improve to 12-4 (5-1 CCC) overall.

Sophomore Jamie Corda (Higganum, Conn.) led the day with five RBIs as the Gulls soared to two 8-0 walk-off victories. With the two wins the Blue and Green improve to 12-4 (5-1 CCC) while the Bison fall to 6-10 (1-3).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott softball team traveled to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Western New England on Saturday afternoon for a double header. The Gulls split with the Golden Bears taking game one, 2-1 and falling in game two, 3-2. Endicott enters tomorrow at 10-4 (3-1 CCC) while WNE also improves to 6-10 (2-2 CCC).

    WALTHAM, Mass. – The Endicott softball team traveled to non-conference opponent Brandeis University on Thursday afternoon for a double header. The Gulls split with the Judges (11-9, 3-5 UAA), losing in game one 9-4 and coming back with the victory in game two 6-1. The Gulls improve to 9-3 (2-0 CCC) as they rest until Saturday when they travel to Western New England for a double header versus the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) at 12/2 PM.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team celebrated their home opener on Wednesday afternoon with a pair of victories over Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Wentworth. In game one the Gulls managed a 15-1 decision led by freshman Rachel Couto (Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) who each earned three RBIs. In game two Endicott earned a 12-1 victory over the Leopards, led by sophomore Jamie Corda (Higganum, Conn.) who tallied three RBIs. Endicott improves to 8-2 (2-0 CCC) while the Leopards fall to 4-16 (0-6).

    CLERMONT, Fla. – The Endicott softball team played their last game of the Dot Richardson Spring Games down in Clermont, Florida at the National Training Center. The Gulls faced Hamline this evening and took the 3-1 decision to improve to 6-2 overall before heading back to Beverly.
  • Gulls Improve to 5-2 at the National Training Center

    WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – The Endicott softball team played a triple header of regional games down at the Dot Richardson Spring Games this morning. The Gulls went 2-1 on the day with victories over Plymouth State and Southern Maine while they dropped their second game of the season to Amherst. Overall the Blue and Green will move into the last day of the tournament, tomorrow at 5-2.
