Men’s Volleyball Bests Dominican, 3-1

RIVER FOREST, Ill. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Dominican, 3-1, by scores of 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, and 25-23 in non-conference action on Thursday night at Igini Sports Forum.

Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico), Mason Mallory (Playa del Rey, Calif.), and Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.) all produced double-digit kills for the Gulls.

Robert compiled a match-high 15 kills, while Mallory and Kasprzak followed with 14 and 13, respectively.

Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) was in rhythm with both pins and his middle all night as the senior setter dished out a career-tying 44 assists.

Brady Mullens (Aurora, Colo.) also played a major factor in the victory with three kills, one ace, and a team-high five block assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls picked up their first win in the all-time series against Dominican (1-2).
  • Endicott has won three matches in a row.
  • Malloy registered a season-high 14 kills in tonight's victory.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (6-7) takes on Illinois Tech (3:30 PM, EST) and Aurora (6 PM, EST) on Saturday, March 18 at Thornton Gymnasium in Aurora, Illinois. Dominican (5-9) visits Benedictine this Saturday at 3 PM (CDT).
