Men’s Volleyball Bests Russell Sage, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Russell Sage, 3-0, by scores of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-8 in conference action on Sunday evening at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) led all student-athletes with seven kills on 11 swings (.455). He also added two service aces, three digs, and three blocks (one solo) to his stat line in the win.

Finn McCaffrey (Redding, Conn.) chipped in with five kills, while Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.) and Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) produced four kills apiece.

The Gulls used a different setter in each set for the second straight match as Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.), Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.), and Aidan Napoli (Henderson, Nev.) dished out 11, 12, and five assists in respective order.

Today's match featured seven ties (1-6-0) and five lead changes (1-4-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 4-0 all-time against Russell Sage (3-0 at home).
  • Adin Jepsky (San Jose, Calif.) saw two of his team-leading four digs correlate to kills.
  • On serve-receive, the Gulls passed over a .500 clip in reception to kills (.525, 21-40).
  • Brian Wightman (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Will Perry (San Mateo, Calif.) paced the squad with five receptions leading to kills.

Endicott (5-7, 2-0 NECC) visits Bard on Tuesday, March 14 at 6 PM. Russell Sage (4-19, 0-2 NECC) hosts SUNY Poly and Emmanuel (Mass.) on Saturday, March 18 at 12/4 PM.
