Bentley Tops Men’s Tennis, 8-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team lost to NCAA Division II opponent Bentley University, 8-0, in non-conference action on Thursday evening at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts as the sophomore held a 6-4, 5-6 advantage at No. 4 singles before the match was called due to rain and darkness.

"We played some nice offensive tennis in stretches. We need to be a bit more intentional and focused in practice, and the results will follow," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Today's match was the non-traditional season home opener for the Gulls.
  • Danes was in search of his first singles win of the season before the match was halted.
