Endicott 1, Roger Williams 8; Gulls falter in road CCC match

BRISTOL, R.I. – In their second Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match of the season, the Endicott men's tennis team lost 8-1 to Roger Williams to fall to 0-2 in league matches this spring.  The Gulls are now 4-5 overall and will look to get back to their winning ways as they begin a schedule of four straight home matches starting on Thursday against Gordon.

The Blue and Green saw senior captains Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) impressively handle their Hawks opponents at the #1 doubles position 8-2 but Endicott fell behind 2-1 after doubles play before dropping all six singles matches.

Joggi and Cohen improved to 3-4 on the season together at the top doubles flight including victories in three of their last four matches.

Roger Williams notched their third straight win and improved to 6-5 (3-0 CCC) despite the cold and windy conditions throughout the match.

The Gulls match up with Gordon on Thursday, April 4th at 3:30 pm.  Endicott seniors are 4-0 against the Scots dating back to the 2010 season.
