Endicott 9, Salem State 0; Gulls defeat Vikings in North Shore Cup match up

SALEM, Mass. - The Endicott men's tennis team registered a 9-0 win over North Shore Cup rival Salem State on Thursday afternoon and in the process improved their overall record to 4-4.  

After senior Benjamin Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.) and sophomore Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) won their #2 doubles match 8-2, the Gulls battled for close 8-6 wins at #1 and #3 doubles en route to a 3-0 sweep heading into singles play.  

Freshman Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) and junior Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) edged their #3 doubles oppoisition before seniors Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) bested their Viking opponents at the top doubles flight.

In singles play, sophomore Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) won 6-2, 6-1 at the #4 position followed by Randlett's 6-0, 6-2 win at the #3 spot.  Joggi needed three sets to beat his #1 singles opponent 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 as Ross, Dolph, and sophomore Justin Warshavsky (East Hartford, Conn.) all registered singles victories. 

The Gulls are off until Tuesday, April 2nd when they visit CCC foe Roger Williams at 4:00 pm in Bristol, Rhode Island.
