Bridgewater State Defeats Endicott 4-0

Sept. 29, 2003

Beverly, MA- A tough Bridgewater State College team (2-2) outplayed the Endicott Gulls (5-4) in a 4-0 ousting today on the Multi-Purpose Stadium of Endicott College.

The Bears came out firing, scoring their first goal of the afternoon just 7 minutes into the game. With heavy play in front of the Gulls net, Michael Brammer (So., Norton, MA) was able to get his foot on the ball and tap it in. Deron Jackson (So., Forest Dale, MA), who converted 2 goals for the Bears today, scored his first in the 19th minute beating his defender and finishing the play.

Despite a strong half-time pep talk from Coach Franciosa, the Gulls fire was put out when Jackson scored his second goal just 2 minutes into second half play, off a pass from Joe Ferguson (Jr., Middleboro, MA). 8 minutes later Matt Bernstein (So., Stoughton, MA) took a pass from Junji Mochizuki (Jr., Shizuoka, Japan) to finish the scoring at 4-0.

The Gulls look to rebound from this difficult loss this Wednesday at 4:00 versus perennial powerhouse Tufts.
