Endicott falls short 1-0 to Conference Rival Salve Regina

The Endicott men's soccer team lost to the defending Commonwealth Coast Conference champion Salve Regina University last night 1-0. The Gulls who are now (1-2) overall and (1-1) in the conference went into the break tied 0-0 with the Seahawks.

13 minutes into the second half Salve sophomore Mark Beeley (Methuen, MA) crossed a beauty to senior Chris Girardin who volleyed it into the right corner of the net to break the scoreless deadlock.

Despite holding the Seahawks for the rest of the game, the Gulls who were outshot by the Seahawks 10-6, were not able to find the net. Salve freshman goalie David Sirpenski (Voluntown, Ct)only recorded one save throughout the 90 minutes of play.

The Gulls face local rival Salem State tomorrow, Thursday September 9th, away at 6:00pm.
