Paratore adds ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – One day after earning his first ever CCC Defensive Player of the Week award, junior Lucas Paratore (Wenham, Mass.) added ECAC Defensive Player of the Week hardware to his resume, recognizing the defenseman for his outstanding efforts in wins over #4 Tufts and conference rival Roger Williams last week.

Paratore totaled seven caused turnovers and 10 groundballs on the week, but stood out in Endicott's 12-10 triumph over #4 Tufts last Tuesday night at Endicott Stadium.  Paratore caused five turnovers and scooped four groundballs against the Jumbos as the Gulls are now receiving votes towards a top-20 ranking according to the USILA and moved up the third in the NEILA regional rankings this week.

After his efforts against Tufts, Paratore added two more caused turnovers and six groundballs in a 15-9 win over Roger Williams this past Saturday.

Paratore and his teammates look to remain unbeaten in CCC action as they play the University of New England on Tuesday night before taking on Bowdoin and Nichols this weekend.
