Sam Ozycz collects ECAC DIII New England Defensive Player of the Week honors

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Endicott men's lacrosse midfielder and face-off specialist Sam Ozycz (Cheshire, Conn.) collected another piece of hardware, one day after earning CCC Defensive Player of the Week honors, as he was named ECAC DIII New England Defensive Player of the Week for his role in wins over Amherst and Springfield.

This is Ozycz's first ECAC Player of the Week award of his career.  Ozycz led the Gulls with 23 groundballs, a .617 face-off win percentage (29-of-47), and one caused turnover in two games last week.  Endicott won those games 13-9 over Amherst and 11-6 over Springfield.

Ozycz also scored his third goal of the season just seven seconds into the opening quarter against Amherst.

Ozycz and the rest of the Gulls next match up against CCC foe Curry on Wednesday, March 27th at 7:00 pm.  Endicott (5-3) defeated Curry (6-1) in last spring's ECAC DIII New England Semifinals 12-10 en route to their third ECAC Championship in program history.
