Endicott sweeps CCC Men's Lacrosse weekly awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - After defeating #4 Tufts and Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival Roger Williams to remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0, the CCC named sophomore attacker Harrison Cotter (Lordship, Conn.), junior defenseman Lucas Paratore (Wenham, Mass.), and freshman goalie Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine)  winners of their weekly awards.

Cotter, the CCC Offensive Player of the Week, tallied seven points on the week on four goals and three assists to raise his season total to 25 points.  In a 12-10 win over #4 Tufts, Cotter a goal and two assists.  His lone goal gave Endicott a 5-4 lead in the second and his assists came on back-to-back goals in the third quarter to tie the game at seven and give the Gulls their final lead at 8-7.  Against Roger Williams, Cotter netted a hat trick in the second half to help the Blue and Green erase a 7-6 halftime deficit.  

Paratore collected CCC Defensive Player of the Week honors after forcing a total of seven turnovers over two games including five against #4 Tufts last Tuesday.  For the week, Paratore also scooped 10 groundballs.  He is now tied for the team-lead in caused turnovers with 19 while ranking second in groundballs with 41.  

Bell earned his third CCC Rookie of the Week award this season after posting 28 saves in two games, 13 against #4 Tufts and another 15 in a strong effort against Roger Williams.  Bell is now 9-2 on the season with a 5-0 record in CCC games.  

Cotter, Paratore, Bell, and the rest of the Endicott men's lacrosse team take on CCC foe University of New England on the road Tuesday night followed by a non-conference showdown with NESCAC foe Bowdoin on Saturday.
