Former All-Americans Gaffney and Hagarty drafted by Boston Cannons
2012 Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft

BOSTON, Mass. - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) held their annual supplemental draft this afternoon and two former Endicott All-Americans, Patrick Gaffney '07 (Worcester, Mass.) and Eric Hagarty '10 (Sudbury, Mass.) were drafted by the Boston Cannons.

Gaffney played on the 2011 Cannons squad that won the MLL title, appearing in one game against the Long Island Lizards, while Hagarty gets his first invite to a professional camp after spending the past year as an assistant coach for the Gulls men's lacrosse team.      Gaffney was drafted in the 12th round (96th overall), Hagarty in the 18th round (144th overall).

Both players were highly-decorated over the course of their four-year careers at Endicott.  Gaffney and Hagarty accumulated four USILA All-American awards, three NEILA All-New England selections, seven All-CCC nods, and three CCC Defensive Player of the Year trophies between the two of them.

Gaffney and Hagarty will join former Endicott faceoff man John Ortolani (Billerica, Mass.), who has appeared in three Boston Cannons games between the 2010 and 2011 seasons.  In 2011, Ortolani played in two games and won 27-of-56 faceoffs with 12 groundballs.

The Cannons also drafted players from Virginia, UNC, Brown, Tufts, Bentley, Cortland State, Springfield, and Western New England.
