Cotter, Klein honored after huge week
Springfield, Mass. – Senior attack Chris Cotter (Lordship, Conn.) and sophomore goalie Mike Klein (Darien, Conn.) have been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) players of the week after helping the Blue and Green upset top-ranked and undefeated Tufts.

Cotter highlighted a 10-point week with two goals and two assists in the Gulls’ 9-8 victory over No. 1 Tufts.  He added three ground balls and assisted on the game-winning goal with just under nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter.  Cotter added two goals and an assist in a tough 13-12 loss at Bowdoin, and also notched a goal and two assists in a 13-4 victory over TCCC rival Gordon.

Klein tallied 40 saves and posted an 8.33 goals against average in a 2-1 week for the Gulls.  He opened the week with 14 saves in the Gulls’ impressive 9-8 victory over top-ranked Tufts.  Klein also added eight saves in a 13-12 setback at Bowdoin, and chipped in 18 saves in a 13-4 victory over TCCC foe Gordon.
