Perry, N.Y. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced their NCAA Division III All-Americans today and Endicott seniors Andrew Pochebit (Portland, Maine) and Chris Cotter (Lordship, Conn.) were recognized as All-American Honorable Mentions.

Pochebit and Cotter join the list of over 40 Endicott men’s lacrosse student-athletes who have been named USILA All-American during Head Coach Sean Quirk’s tenure.

Pochebit was one of 19 defenders listed as USILA All-American Honorable Mentions.  The senior, who was already honored as NEILA First Team All-New England and First Team All-TCCC, anchored a Gulls defense that allowed just 7.57 goals per game. Pochebit caused 44 turnovers in his senior season while scooping 55 groundballs. Pochebit’s lone goal of the season came in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Salisbury.

Cotter, listed among 26 other USILA All-American Honorable Mention midfielders, led the Blue and Green with 61 points while earning a First Team All-TCCC nod. Cotter scored 37 goals and tallied 24 assists in his final year at Endicott. Fourteen of his 37 goals and 10 of his 24 assists came against non-conference opponents in 11 games played.

Against NCAA Tournament qualifiers, Cotter totaled nine goals and seven assists. Cotter registered two goals and two assists against then top-ranked Tufts University, a 9-8 victory for the Gulls. Against NCAA Quarterfinalist Amherst College, Cotter scored four times and assisted on one goal in a tough 11-10 loss for Endicott at home. Finally, in two games against Springfield, a team that Endicott defeated in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, Cotter totaled five goals and two assists.
