Men’s Basketball Defeats Eastern Nazarene 83-59

QUINCY, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team featured five student-athletes in double-figures on Thursday night in its 83-59 victory over Eastern Nazarene at the Lahue Physical Education Center.

Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) paced all scorers with 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-10 3PT, 2-2 FT), while Nick Thibeault (Gorham, Maine), Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine), and Vinny Clifford (Danvers, Mass.) all contributed 11 points each. Griffin Curtis (Salem, N.H.) rounded out the list of double-digit scorers for the Gulls with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor including a 2-for-3 showing from long distance.

Endicott only trailed twice during the contest, with both instances coming in the first half (3-2 at 18:30, 6-5 at 18:02), before the Gulls eventually pulled away from Eastern Nazarene for good. Endicott's largest lead of the game came with 4:29 left to play in the second stanza as Jake Rudolph (Topsfield, Mass.) buried a trey to give the Gulls a 78-49 lead at the time.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 22-10 all-time against Eastern Nazarene.
  • The Gulls have won the last four contests in the series.
  • Joe Shehadi (Dorset, Vt.) produced on both ends of the floor with two points, and a team-high eight rebounds, five assists and two steals.
  • Endicott held Eastern Nazarene to a 33.3 field goal percentage. It marks the fourth time this season the Lions have been held under 40-percent in a contest (1-3 overall).
  • The Gulls have won three games in a row and are 6-2 on the road this season.

FOR THE FOES

  • Noah Cheney (Bend, Ore.) and Brenndan Rogers (Hanson, Mass.) tied for the team-high in points with 10 each.
  • Jacob Waldroop (Newland, N.C.) had eight points and four assists.
  • Trey'Von Davis (Moore, S.C.) contributed six points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Endicott (12-4, 7-2 CCC) travels to the University of New England this Saturday at 3 PM. Eastern Nazarene (6-10, 2-7 CCC) visits Western New England University this Saturday at 3 PM.
