Henault and Magee Placed on All-CCC Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Two of Endicott's leading scorers were named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Basketball Team as junior guard John Henault (Lunenburg, Mass.) and graduate student guard Lachlan Magee (Melbourne, Australia) were voted by the league's head coaches alongside some of the league's best players. Henault, now a three-time All-CCC player, was named to the Second Team, while Magee collected his second All-CCC award with Third Team honors.

Henault (13.2 ppg) and Magee (11.8 ppg) are the top two scorers for the Gulls men's basketball team that is heading into the CCC Tournament as the #5 seed and traveling to #4 Salve Regina for a quarterfinal match up with the Seahawks. Tip-off is at 8:00 pm at the Rodgers Recreation Center in Newport, Rhode Island. During this 2013-14 regular season, both players broke the 1,000 career point milestone with Magee vaulting into sixth place on the all-time scoring list with 1,222 points and Henault sitting in 10th with 1,096 points.

Henault averaged 13.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.8 steals per game during the regular season and had some highlight performances including a 26-point game at home against Salve Regina on January 7th thanks to six three-point buckets and a career-high 17 rebounds in a near triple-double effort over Lesley on November 19th. Magee missed the first five games of the season due to injury and hit his stride in mid-January, leading the team in scoring over the final 12 games with a 14.2 point per game average. On the season, he averaged 11.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game and shot 56.2% from the floor and 57.9% from three-point range.

Henault was named to the All-CCC Second Team as a sophomore and Honorable Mention in Endicott's championship 2011-12 season. Magee earned his only other All-CCC award in the 2011-12 season when he was put on the Honorable Mention team.
