Endicott Men's Basketball Releases 2013-14 Schedule

2013-14 Endicott Men's Basketball Schedule

BEVERLY, Mass. – The fall schedule is in full swing with 11 Endicott varsity programs competing for a chance at a conference title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament and in just over two months, the Gulls men's basketball team tips-off their 2013-14 campaign with similar goals in mind.  This winter's schedule for the Blue and Green has been released, featuring a mix of non-conference opposition from across the region and full slate games in an extremely balanced Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

Endicott will play in three non-conference tournaments this season starting with the Wheaton Invitational on November 15-16th with Fisher, Maine Maritime, and Wheaton.  The Gulls take on Fisher on day one in their season opener.

On Tuesday, November 19th, MacDonald Gymnasium in the Post Center will be the setting for Endicott's home opener against NECC member Lesley.  Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm against the Lynx who were defeated by Endicott 75-62 in December of last season.

The following weekend, Endicott returns to Rivier's Invitational Tournament where they will take on a Wheelock squad that lost by 24 points to Endicott in early December 2012.  Endicott will then take on the winner of Rivier and St. Joseph's (L.I.) on day two.

The month of December starts off with the first two games of an 18-game CCC schedule as the Gulls take on cross-town rival Gordon in Wenham on December 4th before hosting Eastern Nazarene on December 7th.  Gordon (21-7 in 2012-13) reached the CCC Championship last season, only to lose by six to Curry.  Eastern Nazarene made it to the semifinals after posting an 18-9 record last winter.

Endicott will wrap up the fall semester with a pair of games right before the New Year at Salem State's Holiday Classic.  The Gulls play Berkeley (N.J.) on night one, December 29th, before taking North Shore rival Salem State who reached the MASCAC Semifinals in 2012-13.

January and February of 2014 are all CCC contests as all institutions are required to play each school twice during the regular season before the conference tournament on February 25th-March 1st.  Endicott takes on the defending champion Curry Colonels on the road on January 11th before hosting them on February 15th.

The Gulls will also anticipate their annual home match up against Gordon on January 29th in MacDonald Gymnasium.  It will be the first home game for the Endicott study body returning from January break.
