BEVERLY, Mass. - Due to an incoming weather system, tonight's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) basketball doubleheader between Endicott and Wentworth, to be played at Nelson Recreation Center in Boston, has been postponed.
The men's game has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 23rd with a 7:00 pm tip-off. The women's game will be played on Monday, January 27th at 7:00 pm.
The Endicott men are 12-3 (6-2 CCC) and will be facing a Leopards squad that is 8-7 (5-3 CCC) on the season. Endicott owns a 17-8 all-time record over Wentworth but in recent years, these two squads have battled through some nail-biting games including two playoff games decided by four points or less. Since the 2009-10 season, the first for head coach Phil Rowe, the Wentworth is 5-3 against Endicott.
The Endicott women (10-4, 6-2 CCC) have historically handled Wentworth to the tune of 19 wins in 21 games but in their most recent meeting, the Leopards snapped a nine-game, six-season losing streak to the Gulls with a 59-46 road victory. Before Endicott plays Wentworth on Monday, however, the team will host Suffolk on Thursday evening and play Eastern Nazarene on the road Saturday.
