Women’s Cross Country Ranks Fifth At Keene State Invitational

KEENE, N.H. – The Endicott women's cross country team finished fifth overall out of 18 teams on Saturday evening at the Keene State Invitational.

Brandeis placed first among the field with a team score of 40 points. Meanwhile, Keene State (116), Wheaton (128), Eastern Connecticut State (129), and Endicott (133) followed in respective order to round out the top-5.

Individually, Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) made her return to home a memorable one behind a seventh place finish (19:01.96) on the 5-kilometer course.

Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Emma Johnson (Reading, Mass.), Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.), and Makayla Vigneaux (Salisbury, Mass.) rounded out Endicott's scoring lineup in 20th (19:51.90), 29th (20:13.96), 31st (20:16.44), and 46th (21:18.44) place overall.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • In total, the Gulls compiled four personal bests on the day.
  • Sarah Kiefer (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) joined am Ende, Johnson, and Vigneaux on the list of student-athletes who registered personal bests for the Gulls.

Endicott competes at the Suffolk Invitational on Saturday, October 15 at 1:30 PM (Franklin Park – Boston, Mass.).
