2018 Endicott Women's Cross Country Season Preview

The Endicott women's cross country team huddles up.

SCHEDULE | ROSTER

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott women's cross country team opens up its 2018 season on Saturday, September 1 against Gordon College in the "Battle of the North Shore" in Wenham, Mass. Here's what to look forward to for the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls return several of their top runners from last season including Emma Farrington (Essex Junction, Vt.), Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.), Hannah Mason (Windham, N.H.), Brooke Robishaw (Ipswich, Mass.) and Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.), to name a few. Under fourth-year head coach Spencer Lange, Endicott also has brought in a bevy of talent in this year's recruiting class and have had multiple student-athletes from the women's track and field team join the cross country program to create depth in the Gulls' lineup this year.
  • Over the last five years, Endicott has had at least five members receive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference honors. Last season's winners were Keim, Mason, Pomeroy, Robishaw, and Brooke Waites (Niantic, Conn.).
  • The Gulls have finished fourth at the CCC Championships in four out of the last five years.
  • Last season, Farrington represented Endicott on the CCC All-Conference awards list.
  • In 2017, the Gulls earned an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award by posting a 3.64 cumulative grade point average (GPA). Endicott was joined by 220 other NCAA Division III programs on the list. It marks the second consecutive season the Gulls have earned this distinction.

2018 SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

After opening their season in a dual meet against Gordon on September 1, the Gulls will host the Endicott Invitational on Saturday, September 8.
