Women’s Cross Country Places 35th At NCAA DIII Regionals

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country team concluded its 2016 season with a 35th place finish out of 59 teams at the NCAA Division III New England Regional meet, held at Stanley Park, on Saturday afternoon.

MIT claimed the New England Regional title with 68 points, while Williams earned runner-up honors (71), and Tufts ranked third overall (77).

The Gulls saw three student-athletes turn in personal best times on the 6-kilometer course, which was highlighted by Abigail Keim's (Williston, Vt.) 123rd place finish in 23:41.73. Kiera Malone (Woburn, Mass.) also posted a personal best time of 23:46.22 for 131st place overall.

Meanwhile, Kelly O'Neill (Cumberland, R.I.) followed Keim and Malone in 25:25.12 (239th overall), while Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.) crossed the finish line in 25:32.44 (247th overall).

Hannah Mason (Deerfield, N.H.) and Maeve Kelly (Washingtonville, N.Y.) were next in 25:46.10 (252nd overall) and 25:47.21 (254th overall), respectively, before Brooke Robishaw (Ipswich, Mass.) rounded out Endicott's top-7 with a personal best time of 26:06.39 (283rd overall).

  • Endicott has finished 35th or better in its last five regionals appearances. 

2016 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Endicott finished fourth overall at the CCC championships this fall.
