CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: Women’s Cross Country Places Fourth Overall

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country team placed fourth overall at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships this Saturday on the 6-kilometer course at Western New England University.

The University of New England (UNE) earned a perfect score of 15 points to claim its fifth straight title, while Salve Regina (70), Roger Williams (92), Endicott (105), and host Western New England (123) followed suit to round out the top-5.

Individually for the Gulls, Kiera Malone (Woburn, Mass.) and Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.) finished in 11th and 12th place, respectively, with times of 24:27 and 24:34 to pace the squad. Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.) came in 22nd overall (25:11), while Kelly O'Neill (Cumberland, R.I.) was 37th overall (25:50), and Maeve Kelly (Washingtonville, N.Y.) ranked 45th (26:27).

Endicott's top-7 also included Hannah Mason (Deerfield, N.H.) and Brooke Robishaw (Ipswich, Mass.) as the duo finished in 46th place (26:31), and 60th place (27:17), respectively.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Malone finished first overall for the Gulls for the first time this season (six races).
  • In every other race, Keim was the pace setter for Endicott.
  • The Gulls' top-5 differential was exactly two minutes today.
  • Endicott has finished fourth overall at the CCC championships for the last four seasons.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will compete in the NCAA Division III New England Regionals on Saturday, November 12 in Westfield, Mass. at 12 p.m.
