Women’s Lacrosse Handles Springfield, 20-7

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated Springfield, 20-7, in non-conference action on Saturday evening in rainy conditions at Hempstead Stadium.

Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.) fueled the Gulls offensively with a game-high/career-high six points (1G, 5A).

Endicott also received four goals for Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) and hat-tricks via Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.), Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine), and Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) highlighted the rest of the attack.

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) turned away six shots to improve to 3-0 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 5-1 all-time against the Pride.
  • Endicott has won three in a row in the series dating back to 3/19/19.
  • Gilly Hartt (Old Saybrook, Conn.) dished out her first career assist at 14:25 of the fourth (15-5).
  • Leading 6-5 at the half, the Gulls scored nine straight goals to take a commanding 15-5 advantage and never looked back.
  • Endicott outscored Springfield 8-0 in the third quarter.

Endicott (3-0) hosts No. 8 nationally ranked Tufts on Wednesday, March 16 at 5 PM. Springfield (2-2) welcomes Babson to its campus on Saturday, March 19 at 3:30 PM.
