14 Women's Ice Hockey Student-Athletes Named to CHC All-Academic Team

CHC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team placed 14 student-athletes on the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office earlier today. 

The 14 student-athletes named to the list were Nicole Demers (Avon, Conn.)Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.)Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.)Emma McDowell (Alexandria, Va.)Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.)Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska)Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.)Isabel Hill (Derry, N.H.)Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.)Alexa Pretkelis (Crystal Lake, Ill.)Tabitha Franceschini (Brick, N.J.)Meaghan Francis (Woodbridge, Conn.)Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.), and Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine). 

To be eligible for All-Academic recognition a student-athlete must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full year at their current institution. All five CHC institutions were represented with 59 student-athletes in total earning the honor.

In 2019-20, the Gulls captured their second straight CHC Championship with a 4-1 win over the University of New England, capping off an undefeated season against CHC opponents. Endicott was scheduled to make an appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal round against Middlebury before it was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

The Gulls also saw Meier named CHC Player of the Year, Peterson named CHC Goaltender of the Year, and Andrew McPhee named CHC Coach of the Year. Gibbs, Huber, McNamara, Meier, Peterson, and Sullivan were named to the CHC All-Conference Teams as well.
