McNeill Selected As CCC Softball Player Of The Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — All-CCC Second Team senior outfielder Julia McNeill (Smithtown, N.Y.) has been selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference's (CCC) Player of the Week for the week of April 24 to April 30, as announced today by the conference office.

McNeill, a first-time honoree this season (second career), tallied seven hits (one double, two home runs) with four RBIs, three walks, and five runs scored through four games this week for a .636 batting average, .714 on-base percentage, and 1.273 slugging percentage.

McNeill's two home runs both came in the fourth inning of Game 2 against Eastern Nazarene on Friday, April 21st, making her just the 12th student-athlete in NCAA Division III Softball history to accomplish the feat of homering twice in the same frame and it was the first occurrence since the 2012 season. 

Endicott will host Babson College on Wednesday, May 3rd at 4:00 p.m. before the fourth-seeded Gulls (21-15) battle seventh-seeded Curry on Friday, May 5th at 12:00 p.m. in Newport, R.I. in Game 8 of the CCC Softball Tournament hosted by Salve Regina University.
