No. 11 Roller Hockey Shows Promise In Weekend Tournament

DRACUT, Mass. – In its first tournament back from winter break, the No. 11 nationally ranked Endicott club roller hockey team went 1-3 overall against Boston University (W, 7-2), No. 1 Northeastern (L, 5-4), No. 14 RIT (L, 7-1), and No. 17 Penn State (L, 7-5). 

Despite the 1-3 record over the weekend, the Gulls took the No. 1 program in the country to the brink and also gave No. 17 Penn State a run as well. 

Corey Eisenband (Larchmont, N.Y.) led Endicott offensively in four games played with seven goals and three assists for 10 points. Matt Kaski (Sandwich, Mass.) also notched 10 points on four goals and six assists. 

Meanwhile, Kevin Elliott (Plymouth, Mass.) and Jacob Webster (Westbrook, Maine) compiled four points each (2g, 2a | 1g, 3a), and Kyle MacEachern (Attleboro, Mass.) finished with three points (1g, 2a). 

Senior goalie Matthew Klarnet (Briarcliff, N.Y.) rounded out the list of highlights with 107 saves (about 27 per game) in four starts.

Select members of the No. 11 Endicott club roller hockey team will compete in the ECRHA All-Star Event from February 16-18.
