No. 11 Roller Hockey Goes 1-1 On Opening Day Of ECRHA Regionals

FEASTERVILLE, Pa. — The No. 11 nationally ranked Endicott club roller hockey team split a pair of games at the Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (ECRHA) Regionals on Friday evening. Endicott opened ECRHA Regionals, which features a double-elimination format, with a comeback victory over Stony Brook (5-2) before falling to No. 14 RIT by a 5-3 score in game two.

GAME ONE: NO. 11 ENDICOTT 5, STONY BROOK 2

Trailing 2-0 in the second period, the Gulls received goals from Brian Harder (Delmar, N.Y.) and Jacob Webster (Westbrook, Maine) to even the score at 2-2.

Endicott then capitalized on their momentum in the third with goals from Harder, Daniel Rustani (Lynn, Mass.), and Corey Eisenband (Larchmont, N.Y.) to secure the win.

Meanwhile, Matthew Klarnet (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) made 16 saves in goal for the Gulls.

GAME TWO: NO. 14 RIT 5, NO. 11 ENDICOTT 3

No. 14 RIT raced out to a 5-0 through the first two periods, and held off a late rally from the Gulls to hold onto the victory. 

Eisenband, Harder, and Patrick Malone (North Reading, Mass.) all scored for Endicott in its three-goal third period. Klarnet also made 30 saves in the loss.

No. 11 Endicott (12-6-0-2) takes on No. 17 Penn State tomorrow in a must-win contest at 8 AM.
