BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott senior setter Carter Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) collected his second New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week award this season after averaging nearly 11 assists per set in a 3-0 week for the Gulls. Roche has led the Gulls to a four-match winning streak that includes a conference opener victory over Regis, a five-set comeback over Emerson, and the program's first win over Vassar since 2009.

After a straight-set win over Regis in Endicott's Wednesday home and conference opener over Regis, a match in which Roche set 23 assists in the first two sets, the Gulls orchestrated a five-set victory at Emerson on Saturday. The Gulls dropped the first two sets 25-23, 25-22 before storming back to win the final three 25-20, 25-22, 15-11. Roche totaled a career-high 53 assists in the match, shattering his previous high of 42 set back on April 13th, 2013 in a 3-1 win over Elms in the NECC Championship.

In the team's second match of the day on Saturday, Roche helped Endicott record their first win over United Volleyball Conference (UVC) rival Vassar since 2009. The Gulls won 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-18) behind another standout performance from Roche who totaled 33 assists.

For the week, Roche averaged 10.9 assists and 2.0 digs with eight kills, five blocks, and two service aces.
