Unfortunately, the Hawks prevailed in the end 30-20, 28-30, 30-25, 32-34, 15-8. Jeremy Fontaine set both a personal and new school record with 31 kills in the match.

Senior tri-captain Steve Terplak (Altamont, NY) came up big, blasting 12 kills in the opening game, while fellow tri-captain Jack Delehanty (Albany, NY) dished out 15 assists. RWU flew out to a big lead and managed to hold Endicott star Jeremy Fontaine (Belchertown, MA) to 2 kills to gain the early advantage. Commanding blocks by RWU helped seal the first set.

Game five was dominated by the Hawks behind the serving of Scott Maier (Millis, MA), who went on a 5-serve run to up the score to 7-1 and Hawks cruised to a 15-8 victory. The match showed growth and maturity by Endicott as they took 2 games from the tenth-ranked team in the nation.

Also playing well for the Gulls was senior setter Pablo Baez who had 65 assists. Brandon Ecker and Eric Hunter had 12 and 11 digs respectively to lead the team.

The Gulls now look forward to Friday Night's 7:30 PM match at three-time defending DIII National Champion's Springfield College.
