2021 Endicott Men's Tennis Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team is scheduled to start its 2021 season this Thursday at home against Eastern Nazarene at 3:30 PM. Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls will look to make their 14th straight appearance in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) playoffs, in 2021.
  • Endicott returns all-conference singles player Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) to the fold in 2021.
  • Head Coach Anthony D'Angelo is entering year three as the head of the men's tennis program.
  • Endicott will compete in "Pod B" against Curry, Gordon, and Wentworth. The Gulls will play two Saturday conference matchups against each team in the pod. Any other matches against "Pod B" opponents will not affect the conference standings.
  • Postseason play begins on May 6. For more information on this year's schedule and the postseason, format read the notes section below.

NOTES:

The top-2 teams from each pod will qualify for playoff competition based on winning percentages. A team must complete 50% of all scheduled conference games to qualify. Teams short of the 50% mark will be replaced by the next qualified team in the pod. Teams that are shut down will ONLY be replaced by the next qualified team in the pod BEFORE the tournament beings.
