Seventh-straight win, Gulls fly past Leopards

BOSTON, Mass. - The Endicott men's tennis team posted its seventh-straight win on Saturday, swinging its way to a, 6-3, TCCC road victory over Wentworth. The win marks the eighth of the year for the Blue and Green, just one shy of its total victories last year.

Endicott fell into a 2-1 hole after the three doubles contests with its only win coming off the racquets of Dan Murray (Coventry, R.I.) and Scott Teller (Granville, N.Y.) in the number one spot. Ricardo Robiglio (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) then put the Gulls down 3-1 as he scored a, 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 win over Dan Murray to start singles play. Behind the eight-ball, Endicott rattled off an impressive five-straight singles victories, escaping with its eighth win of the year, 6-3.

With the win, Endicott is now 8-2 overall and unbeaten in conference play (3-0 TCCC). Wentworth slips to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Gulls return to the courts on Wednesday as they travel to Dudley, Mass. to meet the Bison of Nichols College at 4:00 p.m.
