BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's soccer student-athlete Kyle Rosa (Norton, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office yesterday.
Rosa compiled 10 saves in a three-match week, leading the Gulls to a 1-0-2 (1-0-0 CCC) record.
He notched five saves in a 2-2 tie with Coast Guard, four saves against Roger Williams in Endicott's first conference win of the season, and one save against WPI.
In those three games, Rosa held opponents to just one goal per game and the shutout vs. WPI was the first from an Endicott goalkeeper this season.
This is Rosa's first career CCC weekly honor.
