CLASS OF 2020: CELEBRATING STUDENT-ATHLETE SENIOR THESIS ACHIEVEMENT RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Before graduating from Endicott College, all students complete an intensive an independent academic inquiry that represents the culmination of their coursework and internship experiences. The successful completion of the senior thesis is the pinnacle of our students' tenure at the College and is a personal achievement to be celebrated.

In part two of our series, www.ecgulls.com would like to celebrate men's soccer student-athlete/biology & biotechnology major Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) and his work on his thesis project "Screening Marine Microorganisms for Antimicrobial Activity Directed at Vibrio Species" which received a Deans Choice "The Best of the Best" award earlier this spring.

Annually, the deans of each school select thesis projects that meet the highest expectations for inclusion on the "Best of the Best" list.

Below, you will find answers to questions we asked Evan about his thesis project, including what he learned, advice for students who will embark on thesis projects in the future, and so on.

ECGULLS: Explain your thesis project to us?
